Workplace Violence Training - 570-988-1989

Is Your Company Completely Prepared

For A Workplace Violence Incident?

In the time that it takes for you to read this page, at least one employee, supervisor, manager, or business owner will have died as a result of violence in the workplace.  By the end of today, about 13 men and women will have lost their lives, not on the streets or in some back-alley - not in a war or police action - but, on the job.

And, for every one of these victims - people just like you and I - people with hopes, dreams, family, friends, and their whole lives ahead of them - for every one of them...

...there are thousands more who will be assaulted, intimidated, raped, threatened, robbed, and more.  And that's just TODAY!

There have already been more high-profile, high-intensity incidents in the past few weeks, than there typically is in several months.  The random nature of violence is being compounded by recent factors including, the state of the economy, the increase in stress, and shere lack of coping skills, means that things are going to get much worse than they have been in the past.  The question is...

What Will You Do If Prevention Isn't Enough And Your Comany Is Attacked?

If you could learn how to make your workplace more safe and secure - if you could learn how to survive a deadly nightmare like those you've been seeing in the news, would you be interested?  Woekplace violence has become the second leading cause of work-related death for employees, and the number one cause of work-related death for women and managers.

Jeffrey M. Miller, CEO and WCI's founder, is offering the following live training workshops and seminars in select areas.  To register for one of these powerful, life-saving events, just click on the registration link to reserve your place.  If you don't see your area listed, you may use the contact form to suggest a location, or contact us if your company would like to sponsor/host an event either in-house or for your local area businesses.

  • The 3 essential parts - including a necessary and often missing element - to most workplace violence plans - pieces that are part of OSHA's definition of a complete workplace violence system
  • An overview of the situations and topics that should be addressed and planned for to insure that you and your people stand the greatest chance of survival
  • Answers to the two most critical problems that you face as a human resources or safety manager when it comes to providing corporate self-defense training in your facility
  • A clear understanding of the myths and realities regarding workplace violence and why prevention initiatives are not enough to insure your safety

"Surviving Under Fire!"

Defending Against & Surviving a Workplace Violence Attack

This 2-day program will give you a solid foundation for defending yourself and others in a violent confrontation in your facility.  It also includes tactics for surviving against two of the most dangeros weapons you could encounter - the gun and the knife.

Day 1 focuses on the realites of unarmed self-defense and dealing with everything from intimidation and low-threat pushing and shoving all the way up to dealing with an attacker who is punching, kicking, or throwing objects.

Day 2 is an all-day intensive which focuses on a lethal threat involving guns and/or knives.  Each weapon is the focus of it's own half-day training session designed to keep you alive in a deadly encounter with an enraged attacker.

At the end of this 2-day intensive training seminar, you will have:

  • A complete 8-phase strategic plan around which to design your training modules and giving your employees the greatest chance for survivng a life-threatening attack
  • The ability to assess a dangerous situation and take the necessary steps toward protecting yourself and others
  • An understanding of body-language cues and other non-verbal communication triggers that you can use to de-escalate a situation, and others to avoid that are more likely to increase the severity of the situation
  • Basic defensive tactics for defending against punching, kicking, and shoving attacks
  • Basic escape tactics for defensing against grabbing, wrestling, and choking attacks
  • An improved sense of awareness and ability to spot danger signals long before they become a "surprise" to you

You Will Also Be Able To...

  • Assess your facility using the same critieria used by security professionals and body guards
  • Understand the advantages and disadvantages when dealing with gun and knife-wielding attackers
  • Rescue someone who is being physically attacked
  • Use teamwork strategies in controlling and restraining an assailant
  • Use three critical, life-saving, strategies for surviving a shooting spree
  • Reduce collateral damage to yourself, others, and property in the event of an attack
  • And, you will be able to do all of this with an eye on liability and damage-control

Remember: This program is NOT empty theory presented by an instructor with no experience.  This life-saving program is taught by a former federal police officer, undercover operative, bodyguard, and veteran of the US Army - someone who has actually used this knowledge in the real world, against real violence, from real-world attackers - and survived.   You will be drawing on real-world experience that you can use to survive should something happen in your company.  What more could you ask for!
